John W. Ramsey, 78 of Floral passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at his home. He was born April 28, 1942, in Floral o Leon A. and Arkie Alumbaugh Ramsey. He was a retired truck driver from Roadway Express, a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Hutchinson Mountain Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Greg W. Ramsey and three sisters, Dixie Wood, Hazel Ashworth and Pat Davidson.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Donna Faye Barber Ramsey of the home; one son Nathan Ramsey (Lea) of Floral; one daughter, Kimberly Ramsey Jones (Preston) of Floral; one brother, Norman Ramsey (Joyce) of Floral; four sisters, Sue Roberts of Floral, Loretta Bowman of Southside, Margaret Jackson of Southside and Linda Southerland (Dub) of Bald Knob; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Farrar, Erin Ramsey, Loria Jones, Kelby Jones, Heather Runyan, Lane Runyan (Karen) and Landon Jones; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, April 30, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Old Union Cemetery in Floral with Rev. Jeff Davidson officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Farrar, Lane Runyan, Landon Jones, Tim Ramsey, Deon Ramsey, Michael Tableriou and Tommy Tableriou. Honorary pallbearers are Preston Jones, Ricky Ramsey and Lanny Ramsey.
