Katherine Denison Tripp, 91, was born on June 19, 1928, to J. Reed and Lottie Denison in Cushman. She passed peacefully on May 3, 2020, in Batesville.
Katherine was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville. She served on numerous committees and was a member of the Progressive Sunday School Class. Katherine was a 50-year member of P.E.O. and Eastern Star. She graduated from Arkansas College in 1948 with a degree in Business. She was Co-Owner of Tripp Gas Company from 1949-1977 and Co-Owner of Tripp Supply, Inc. from 1978 to 2020.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 69 years, Earl, her brother, Robert and sisters, Mary Helen and Charlotte Louise.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Davidson (Dennis) of Fayetteville, and Earline Tripp (Gary Jones) of Batesville; sister Nina Insell of Pharr, Texas; grandchildren Grady McMahan (Kathe) of Batesville, Dennis Davidson (Loryn) of Fayetteville, and Katie Driver (Edward) of Batesville; great-grandchildren Kaleb, Dawson, and Kealee McMahan, Hannah and Hunter Driver of Batesville, and Olivia, Eva, and Keller Davidson of Fayetteville; Uncle Fred Denison Sr. of Southside and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
Katherine was a devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a caring and giving nature, never expecting anything in return.
