Obituary: Lola Bee (Mize) Evens

Lola Bee (Mize) Evens, 94, of Batesville died Tuesday, May 5, 2020. She was born September 27, 1925, in Pleasant Plains to C.J. and Mary (Hook) McAdams. She retired from White River Distributors in Batesville after 35 years of service. After retiring, she served in the Foster Grandparent Program at Central Elementary in Batesville for a short time. She was a member of the Central Avenue United Methodist Church in Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, William P. Mize and Earl Wayne Evens; sister, Zelma Marshall; brother, E.A. McAdams and sister-in-law, Emma Lou McAdams.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Ann Petray and her husband Jay of Eustace, Texas; one step-son, Martin Evens of Batesville; three step-daughters, Debbie Kirby, Cathy Rossok and Brenda Renner all of Indiana; two grandchildren, Dianne Thomson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Bryan Petray and wife Donna of Carrollton, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Jennifer Murrey and husband John of Kemp, Texas, Michael Collins of Mabank, Texas and Ty Petray of Carrollton, Texas; four great-great-grandchildren, Chance Murrey, Lilly Murrey, Ellie Collins and Henry Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Rev. Paul Seay officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
