Effective Monday, June 1, the Lyon College campus will be open to visitors, the college said in a Friday morning release.
Academic buildings, including Mabee Simpson Library, and residence halls are still closed to the public. Visitors are required to wear masks and are expected to practice social distancing. Visitors should also be in groups of 10 or less.
The college is adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Arkansas Department of Health, and signs with that information are posted on all exterior doors. Vendors must continue to check-in through the Facilities Office and must be accompanied at all times by a member of the Lyon College Facilities Department.
To protect campus and Batesville community members, the college reserves the right to remove visitors from campus that are not following the above requirements. The health and safety of the community is the college’s top priority, the release noted.
