news-siren-75

UPDATE, 9:40 p.m., June 16, 2020:

Little Rock television station KATV is reporting on the death of a six-year-old girl found Tuesday afternoon as well as the death of the possible suspect, her father, who was later found unresponsive in a remote part of White County after authorities pinged his phone.

The report says Bald Knob police were called to the 300 W. Cleveland block around 12:45 p.m. regarding an unresponsive child being found. When authorities arrived at the scene, the child was pronounced dead.

Authorities say Willie Issac Pedigo, 40, was the suspect responsible for her death. White County Deputies were not able to find Pedigo until they pinged his cell phone to a remote area of the county where he was located in his car.

White County Sheriff Philip Miller said Pedigo was unresponsive in what looked to be a possible overdose. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The child’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.
