Loleda Ernestine Goodman, or better known as Granny Ernie, went to be with her heavenly Father on June 18, 2020. She was born on August 9, 1928, and is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert (married in 1946); her son, Tommy; parents, Hubert and Martha Layne and sister, Mattie Rogers.
She leaves behind a devoted and loving son, Roy Goodman; three grandchildren, Preston (Karen) Goodman, Blake (Kayla) Goodman and Lindsey (Cody) Bailey; six great-granddaughters, Samera Orrantia, Addyson, Rilynn and Kamri Goodman and Cydney and Caydee Bailey; and a host of loving family members and friends. She was a wonderful Christian lady who always had a smile and time for everyone.
She worked as a foster grandparent at Batesville Schools and also for White Rodgers. The past twenty-one years she has been the office assistant for Qualls Batesville Funeral Service. She was quite the lady and will be greatly missed.
Due to the pandemic, there will be a private graveside service for family only. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
There will be a visitation for friends on Friday, June 19, 2020, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers and food, donations can be made to the North Heights Church of Christ Mission Fund or the charity of your choice in memory of Ernestine Goodman.
