Sharp County Coroner Renee Clay-Circle announced on her personal Facebook page that the body of Michele Summitt, 39, of Paragould was recovered today at 12:20 p.m. from the Spring River on High Falls.

The Spring River Chronicle initially reported a recovery team comprised of Hardy Fire and Police Department, Survival Flight, and a swift water recovery dive team from Arkansas Game and Fish Commission began working around 3:45 Saturday afternoon near Bobo Trace in Hardy at the top of High Falls.

Summitt was a part of a group that was floating on tubes when she went over the falls, was sucked under and never resurfaced.

Scott Rose with the Hardy Fire and Police Department confirmed the woman was sucked into an 8-10 foot hole on the far side of the falls.
