Charles N. Matlock Sr., 76 of Sidney died Friday, June 19, 2020. He was born July 23, 1943, to Charlie D. and Verneil Hardin Matlock. He was a retired jailer for the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department; former Fire Chief for the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Sidney Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Star Matlock.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Matlock Jr. and Michael Matlock both of Batesville; one granddaughter, Madalyn Matlock; a niece, Ashley Manning (Chuck) of Cave City; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob Majors officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorials Gardens in Batesville.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
