Woman enters random house in Pleasant Plains, decides to try on kids’ clothes

white-river-now-news-blue-56

According to the incident report, a woman walked into a random Pleasant Plains house Friday, June 19, and apparently tried to make herself at home.

The homeowner was there at the time with her young children, and asked the woman, identified as Daphne Rose, 46, what she was doing there, and according to the report, Rose would not answer — only hummed. That’s when the homeowner left the residence with her children and went to her vehicle to call authorities.

When deputies from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene, they found Rose in a bedroom attempting to put on a child’s shirt. When Rose was asked what she was doing in the residence, she said she lived there. Later she said she lived in Pine Bluff, and then later, she said she didn’t know where she lived. The report said Rose’s answers to other questions did not make sense.

Rose was placed into custody for criminal trespass and was transported to the Izard County Jail to await a July 1 appearance in Independence County District Court.
