Jaxson Bailey Steele, of Swifton departed this life on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the young age of 20. He was born on May 14, 2000, in Jonesboro, the son of Shannon Steele and Kristy Bailey Smiltnieks.
Jaxson graduated from Tuckerman High School in 2018 and was attending UACCB. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Tuckerman and enjoyed going hunting and fishing, four wheeler riding, and loved the girls.
Jaxson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Steele; grandmother, Jane Kennon; great grandfather, J.V. Satterfield, great grandparents, Lilian and Dee Burnette.
He leaves behind, his father, Shannon Steele and wife Brandi of Jonesboro; mother, Kristy Smiltnieks and husband Chris of Swifton; brother, Eli Smiltnieks of Swifton; sisters, Sophie Smiltnieks of Swifton and Alexa Steele of Jonesboro; paternal grandmother, Jacque Steele of Pocahontas; maternal grandmother, Lavonne Templeton of Swifton and husband Ronnie; maternal grandfather, Larry Bailey and wife Jan of Newport; grandparents, Russ and Sandra Smiltnieks of Germantown, Tennessee, Steve and Terry Jackson of Hot Springs; grandmother, Jeannie Jackson of Jonesboro; great grandmother, Doris Satterfield of Swifton; and special friend, Cheyenne Midgett of Swifton; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shooting Team at Jackson County School District.
