White River Health System (WRHS) recently announced the addition of Whitney Melton, APRN, to the staff at the Diagnostic Clinic at WRMC located at 3443 Harrison Street in Batesville.

Whitney has 15 years of experience in healthcare at WRHS as roles including Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Registered Nurse (RN). She obtained her nurse practitioner license five years ago and became the family medicine provider at the Newark Medical Clinic. Whitney has achieved much in her career such as receiving the recognition of being a top performer for the last three years.  She also serves as a member of the Executive Provider Committee at WRMC.

Whitney completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR.

“I truly enjoy meeting and getting to know the patients in our service area,” said Whitney.  “It is a pleasure to help people meet their goals and educate them to be as healthy as they can be.”

Whitney will continue to provide family medicine care at her new location.  As a family medicine provider, she provides primary care, including wellness exams, to patients of all ages.  She is focused on providing quality care to residents of Batesville and surrounding areas.

Whitney is available at the Diagnostic Clinic at WRMC Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. She is accepting walk-ins and new patients.  To make an appointment, call (870) 698-1635.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the White River Health System is taking extra precautions to ensure the safe delivery of medical care.  For appointments not requiring treatment, patients can utilize WaveLink, WRHS’s telehealth service.  If a patient needs to be seen in the clinic, patients are asked to call in advance and wait in their car until the staff calls them back for their appointment.  Each patient is screened before entering the clinic, and all staff and patients are to wear masks during the appointment. The staff is deep sanitizing between each patient and has spaced out appointments to allow for additional cleaning.
