Obituary: James “Jim” Frederick Snider

James “Jim” Frederick Snider, 77, of Batesville formerly of Hollywood, Fla., passed away, Monday, July 6, 2020, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.

He was born in Kilgore, Ohio on November 29, 1942, to George Cecil Snider and Ruth Pauline (Trotter) DiBeneditto. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Hollywood, Fla., where he was active in the church in all areas, especially as a teacher and leader of children and youth.  He moved to Batesville and attended Mount Zion Baptist Church in Southside.

Jim loved to ride motorcycles with his son, James Charles.  He enjoyed boating up and down the causeway in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. where he would go from beach to beach.  He loved animals and good food.  During his working years, he worked at the Coca Cola Bottling Plant, Vanadium Company, and owned Sub shops in Florida.

Jim is survived by his sister, Linda Milligan, and husband Troy of Batesville; nieces and nephews, Kim Woodward, (Brad), Kerry Tucker, (Jay), Chuck Shiar, William Milligan, Randy Duncan, (Lynette), Glenda Waters, Deedee Kallam, Darlene Fike (Junior), Susan Snider, and Sharon Dalton (Leroy).

He was preceded in death by his son, James Charles Snider, parents, and brothers, Dale Eugene Trotter and Robert William Snider.

A Memorial Service will be at Mount Zion Baptist, Saturday, July 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Bob Daily officiating.
