Vaughn D. Ruminer, 94 of Batesville died Monday, July 13, 2020. He was born April 3, 1926, in Batesville, Arkansas to Esco and Molly Walker Ruminer. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville, where he served as church treasurer for 18 years and taught the Men’s Sunday School Class for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran having served in Europe. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Gerry Ruminer and Michael Ruminer; three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Helen Smith Ruminer of the home; one son, Larry Ruminer of Prattville, Alabama; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Batesville with Bro. Bobby Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
