Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23, have been days set for free Batesville High School physicals.
Here are the dates and groups:
Monday, July 20 — Junior High girls (grades 7-9) 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Tuesday, July 21 — Junior High boys (grades 7-9) 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Wed. July 22, 2020 — Senior High girls (grades 10-12) 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Thurs. July 23, 2020 — Senior High boys (grades 10-12) 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The Pioneers’ Chief Athletic Trainer Keith Shireman says getting the physicals safely organized is a community effort during the pandemic and guidelines will be followed.
Athletes will have to remain in their vehicle until one of the coaches can take their temperature and escort them into the building. Athletes will be required to wear a mask upon entering the building.
Parents are asked to not drop off children and leave. There will be no waiting area after the physical is completed.
If athletes have already obtained a physical or would rather their family doctor perform the physical, that is acceptable, but athletes must make sure the results of those physicals are turned in to Shireman as soon as possible.
Shireman reminds students that all athletes must have a physical, whether it is next week’s free physicals or not.
