Clyde Enis Smith, 97, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was born on February 9, 1923, in Broken Arrow, Okla. Clyde was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother who’s memory will forever be cherished dearly by his loved ones.
Clyde served our country in the army during World War II. When he returned home from the service, he was a service station attendant. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved to garden, and raised cattle on the farm. Clyde was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending church services.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Eva Smith; four brothers, Robert, Billy, Fred, and Gordon Smith; and two sisters, Maxine and Earline.
Clyde is survived by his loving spouse, Juanita Smith; son, Dale (Pam) Smith; daughters, Christine Shaw, Connie (Verne) Clark, Louise Cook, and Lanelle (Ronnie) Love; step-daughters, Lorrie Burris and Anita Sanders; grandchildren, Casey Shaw, Allyson Butts, Ashley Shaw, Scott Clark, Shanda Wood, Bridgett Felton, Brian Ivie, Brandon Love, Brock Love, Brett Love, Jonathan Smith, and Jessica Smith; and many great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Finley Creek Cemetery in Sidney. Pallbearers will include Casey Shaw, Scott Clark, Brian Ivie, Brett Love, Brock Love, Brandon Love, and Jonathan Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Ernest White, Terry Ford, and Ed Carter. The officiant is Brother Bruce Qualls.
