Misty Dawn Qualls of Little Rock, passed from this life to make heaven her home on July 21, 2020. Misty was born in Batesville on February 18, 1975, and was the only child of Donna (Wilson) Smith and Joe Qualls. Misty was the beloved granddaughter of Vee Wilson. Misty is preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Ed and Vee Wilson, Ernest “Hop” and Edna Qualls.
For over forty years, Misty was at home in Cottage 1400 at the Jonesboro Human Development Center, under the loving, compassionate care of the caregivers who attended to her many special needs. When she was transferred to the Waters Nursing Home, she soon became a favorite of the nursing staff and once again was cared for with the greatest kindness and understanding. Misty loved baby dolls and country music videos, and she enjoyed it when she captured the attention of those around her.
Misty is survived by two sisters, Nickie (Scott) Elms of Pleasant Plains, Haley (Justin) McDougal of Pleasant Plains; two nieces, Insley Vinson, Lillian Allgood; nephews, Ryan Passmore, Kenneth Elms and Preston Allgood.; two aunts, Deshawn (Lance) Wyatt of Rosie, Deborah (Lanny) Frazier of Floral; her cousins Natalie Floyd, Jarrod Frazier, Lindsey Reynolds, Landon Wyatt, Jace Wyatt; and the multitude of caregivers.
The pallbearers are Scott Elms, Justin McDougal, Lance Wyatt, Lanny Frazier, Jarrod Frazier and Ched Carpenter.
Honorary pallbearers are Austin McDougal, Ryan Passmore, Kenneth Elms, and Preston Allgood.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Pleasant Plains with Jim Cooper officiating under the direction of Willis Funeral Service. The service will comply with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines, and social distancing will be observed.
