According to the preliminary fatal crash summary by Arkansas State Police responding trooper Cpl. Michael Woodward, the accident occurred around 4:37 Friday afternoon.
A 2008 Hyundai Sonata traveling east on State Highway 230 failed to stop at the intersection of Highway 167 and was struck on the driver side by a southbound 2014 Freightliner.
The driver of the Hyundai identified as Mary Miller, 36 of Batesville was killed in the accident.
The report notes the road was clear and weather conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
Friday’s accident is the 333rd fatal crash on Arkansas highways in 2020.
