A substance abuse assessment by probation and parole agents led to a Greenbrier man being charged in Stone County with possession of methamphetamine.

The court record said Ryan James Treat, 23, was brought in for the assessment and his vehicle was searched by agents.

The agents found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and methamphetamine in Treat’s vehicle, according to the record.

Treat was placed into custody and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and two misdemeanors concerning the discovered marijuana.

The court information said since he had been previously convicted of four or more felonies he will be tried under the Habitual Offender law. His bond was set at $10,000.
