First COVID-19 death in Independence County confirmed


Overnight, Independence County Judge Robert Griffin announced on his Facebook page the first COVID-19 related death in the county. No other details are available.


The county continues to be an emerging hotspot in the area now with 221 active cases, according to the Arkansas Department of Health on Tuesday morning.

  1. I’d like y’all to do some investigation reporting other than to quote a fb page. Like how many people were living in his residence and his underlying health issues. I think the public could learn some things that might help them understand and be sensible and not hysterical. Thanks in advance.
