In a special board meeting on Sunday, the Batesville School District (BSD) board of directors approved the resignation of Assistant Superintendent Drew Sandage, who was previously on administrative leave. The resignation set off a chain of BSD leaders leaving their current roles in order to replace an empty one.

The board approved Batesville High School’s principal, David Campbell, to leave his role to replace Sandage as assistant superintendent. Sulphur Rock Principal Stacey Lindsey will take Campbell’s place as high school principal.

Assistant Principal of Westside Elementary Dustin Rose will leave his role to replace Lindsey as principal, and Westside academic coach Tina Baker will leave her role to become the administrative dean of Westside.

The board also approved the resignation of Eagle Mountain Elementary P.E. teacher Susan Parker. She is retiring.

All directors were present. The board meeting lasted approximately three minutes.
