Campbell talked with a White River Now representative about his new role.

“I have accepted an offer from the Batesville School Board to fill the position of assistant superintendent of finance and operations,” Campbell said in a text. “While the timing is not perfect, I have accepted the challenge and will continue working to provide positive opportunities for our students.”

Campbell also noted he was grateful for his time spent as principal at BHS.

“Please know that working at Batesville High School has been one of the biggest honors of my life. I am a better person and educator because of the students and parents I have worked with. Stacy Lindsey [the former Sulphur Rock principal who was named by the board as his replacement as principal at BHS] will be taking on the leadership role at BHS. She will be great,” Campbell said.
