Body found in Horseshoe Bend last week has been identified

news-2020-14

A body discovered last Wednesday by a Horseshoe Bend city employee has been identified.

According to Izard County Deputy Charley Melton, the body, which was found in the powerline right-of-way near the sewer treatment plant, has been identified as Paul Beaver, 30, of Horseshoe Bend.

Melton said Beaver had been riding a four-wheeler in the area, and his body was discovered not too far from where the vehicle had been located.

Beaver’s body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab to determine the cause of death.

Last week, Melton said initial indications are that foul play was not involved with the death. (Click here for more on that story.)
