Obituary: Betty Lou (Sanders) Roberts

Betty Lou (Sanders) Roberts of Newark departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at the age of 73. She was born May 25, 1947, in Newark, the daughter of Roy “Pete” and Goldie (Porter) Sanders.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, and watching Westerns. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Shes was retired from ConAgra, and was a member of the Newark Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Lee Conditt, and Tommy Leon Powell; one brother, Thomas L. Gillean; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Marcus Henry Roberts of Newark; two sons, Tony Conditt and wife, Jerri, and James Lonnie Powell of Newark; two daughters, Sherry Moldan and husband, Peanut of Newark, and Glenda Hill and husband, James, of Newark; four brothers, Roy J. Sanders, Jr., of Newark, Leon D. Sanders of Newark, Mervin T. Sanders of Rosie, and Lewis E. Sanders of Amagon; four sisters, Emma Hogans of Newark, Parthenia Powell of Newark, Elizabeth E. McElroy of Maple Springs, and Lena M. Harrison of Cabot; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may visit at Newark Church of Christ, Wednesday, August 26, 2020, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at Newark Church of Christ at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Amos Moody, Joshua Hogans, Christopher Howell, Shawn Bearden, Kevin Sanders, and Justin Hindridge.
