At its recent 86th annual convention of the Arkansas Municipal League, Cave City Mayor Jonas Anderson (pictured above) was elected District 1 vice president as the league presented a new slate of officers for the 2020-2021 year.

Anderson has previously served the Municipal League on the organization’s executive committee from 2018-2020.

The Arkansas Municipal League hosted this year’s convention and business meeting completely online due to coronavirus concerns. The convention featured a combination of live and pre-recorded sessions with a focus on current events and timely programming for a remote audience of around 1,000 city and town leaders across the state.

The Arkansas Municipal League is a service and advocacy organization for the municipalities of Arkansas. The organization offers its programs and services to the 500 cities and towns in Arkansas.
