The Melbourne Bearkatz use three first-quarter touchdowns en route to a 50-21 win on Friday night, as they open the season against the Clinton Yellowjackets.
After the initial onslaught, the Yellowjackets scored 14 unanswered points, but the Bearkatz scored twice again before the halftime intermission, taking a 34-14 lead into the break.
Ryan Worsham led the way offensively, scoring three touchdowns, including two runs of 40+ yards.
The Katz move to 1-0 on the season, and will host Quitman next week.
