Obituary: David Edwin Brinker

David Edwin Brinker departed this life on Monday, August 31, 2020, at his home in Desha.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 5, 1952, to Ronald and Sue Kerr Brinker.

David served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

He was a welder and retired from the Entergy Power maintenance department.  He enjoyed politics, music, and running.

David is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home; his parents, Ronald and Sue Kerr of Franklin, Tenn.; three daughters, Cassie Cummins, and her husband Richard, of Collierville, Tenn., Emily Melton, and her husband Craig, of Jonesboro, and Marla Crotts, and her husband Shad, of Newark; a brother, Doug Brinker, his wife Nancy, of Georgetown, Ky.;  two sisters, Lisa  Fox, and her husband David, of Franklin, Tenn., and Lana Ohmes, and her husband, Joe of Brookport, Ill.; nine grandchildren, James, Henry, Ethan, Maddie, Slade, Sam, Natalie, Liam, and Nevin.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin Brinker and Brad Brinker, and his grandparents, Gordon and Lorraine Kerr, and Howard and Beulah Brinker.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Pell Cemetery in Brookport, Illinois with Howard Faughn officiating.
