Thursday afternoon, the Midland School District announced the cancellation of their Friday night game versus Episcopal due to COVID-19 concerns. The announcement was made in a post on the district’s Facebook page .
White River Now reached out to the Midland School District Superintendent Dr. Bruce Bryant for further comment regarding the game’s cancellation.
“Our district continues to keep the safety of our students at the forefront of all of our decision making. In a conversation with the Episcopal head of school today, we decided that it was best to cancel our game because of a football player who is currently under quarantine. This situation is similar to last week’s decision canceling the Marshall game,” Dr. Bryant shared.
