Batesville Pioneers start the season with a win for the first time since 2015

The Batesville Pioneers started their season with a win for the first time since 2015 with a 31-13 victory over the Greenbrier Panthers in Greenbrier.

The took a 28-0 first-half lead on a 24-yard fumble return by Justin Lewallen, a four-yard touchdown run by Eli Livingston, a 19-yard touchdown run by Taylor Daugherty, and a 31-yard touchdown pass from Eli Livingston to Will Storlie.
Alejandro Medina hit all four extra points, and also hit a 27-yard field goal in the third quarter.
The 1-0 Pioneers will host the defending 6A State Champion Searcy Lions next Friday at Pioneer Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
