Frankie Self, 68, of Cave City departed this life on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at her home. She was born in Newport on August 6, 1952, the daughter of Jessie James and Mammie (Rains) Neal.
She was a member of StoreFront Pentecostal Church and enjoyed watching New Orleans Police Department, playing computer games, listening to music, going riding, loved to talk, and spending time with her dog, Hooter.
Frankie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Terry Tims; two brothers, Harvey and Jim Neal; one sister, Louise Ferguson; and her parents.
She leaves behind her husband, Butch Self of the home; daughter, Debbie Ashley and husband John of Cave City; three bonus daughters, Jennie, Michelle, and Cheryl; two brothers, Tony Neal and wife Leta Kay of Searcy and James Neal of Hardy; sister, Rosie Mears of Newport; five precious grandchildren, Levi Tims, Gabby Ashley, Katie Ashley, Alison Jones, and Casie Gott; three great-grandchildren, James Edward Torrence, Darrian White, and Malaki Torrence; and a host of bonus grandchildren.
Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from 5:00 – 7:00. Life Celebration Service will be 2:00 Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery with Bro. Ira Brokaw officiating.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Randy Shipley, Joe Mears, Cody Mears, James Umstead, Jacob Nichols, and Dale Trout. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Tims, Mark Morris, and Tony Neal.
