Maria Semona Bynum, 73, of Batesville, departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2020. She was born in Whittier, California on June 2, 1947, to Manuel and Sara Martinez Garibay.
During her working years she worked at WRMC as an EKG tech, and later received a degree in Child Life where she worked as a care giver and interpreter. She attended White Drive Baptist Church and was an advocate for the Hispanic community. She loved to go to yard sales and Goodwill stores.
Maria loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is preceded by her parents Manuel and Sara Garibay, and her sister Nancy Ramon
Maria is survived by her husband, Larry Bynum of the home; daughter, Kim Wann of Batesville; sons, Jim Acosta of Batesville, and Tim Acosta of Little Rock; a brother, Manuel Garibay of Arizona; her sisters, Jenny Loera and Lupe Smollen of California; her beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Brenda, Anthony, Jonathan, Ariel, Trey, and Liz; six great-grandchildren.
