Russell Junior Dixon, 78, of Fisher, went to his heavenly home on September 12, 2020. He was born November 5, 1941, in Fisher the son of Lester and Midgie Dixon.
On June 28, 1969, Russell married Peggy Holleman and now they have enjoyed fifty years of marriage.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Midgie Dixon, three brothers: Richard Dixon, Lee Roy Dixon, and Doyle Dixon, and two sisters: Wanda Lou Miller and Bernece Courtney.
He enjoyed farming and it is what he spent most of his years doing. He also enjoyed hunting and going to deer camp with the “boys.” Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband and father, and the very best Papaw.
Russell is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home in Fisher, children: Rick (Angel) Dixon of Waldenburg, Danny (Kimberly) Dixon of Fisher, Lorrie (Troy) Hill of Weiner, Lisa (David) Chaplain of Fisher, six grandchildren: Brian Dixon, Travis Dixon, Shea Hill, Meagan Jernigan, Seth Hill, and Anna Chaplain, three great-grandchildren: Addyson Biggs, Braydon Dixon, and Violet Jernigan, one sister, Donna Rowden, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
