Karen Kay “Butterfly” Watkins, 73 of Batesville died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020. She was born Aug. 29, 1947, in Mayville, North Dakota to Elmer and Louella Guttorson Jorgensen.
She was a retired truck driver for Dowell Transport in Batesville and a member of Surrounded Hill Missionary Baptist Church near Newport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bobby Jorgensen, and one sister, Marlene Fugleburg.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Shelton “Hilltopper” Watkins of the home; three brothers, Laurel Jorgensen of Mayville, North Dakota, Ronnie Jorgensen of Northwood, North Dakota and Carmen Jorgensen of Montana; one sister, Julie Thompson of Hatton, North Dakota; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Duane Watkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cave City.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
