Obituary: Lucille Green

Lucille Green, 81, passed away on Sept. 25, 2020. She was born on June 26, 1939, in Batesville, AR.

Lucille was of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith and attended First Church. She enjoyed crocheting, was an avid reader, and loved to babysit. Even as a child, she was known as the “little mother,” as she was a mother to many people.

Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Altie Lunsford; daughters, Deborah Darlene Green and Sharon Lee Green; sister, Margie Lunsford; as well as both her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, G.F. Green Jr.; daughters, Lesia Kirker (Boyd J.) and Regina Stone (Greg); son, Eric Green (Ann); sisters, Daisy Varnell, Barbara Wren (Wesley Sr.), Christene Britten, Lorene Lunsford, and Glenda Cisne (Bill); sister-in-law, Janet Sipe Green; four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was be held on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020, at Willis Funeral Service from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service, officiated by Michael Parmley, was held at First Church on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at 10 a.m.
