LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Nineteen more people in Arkansas have died from the illness caused by the coronavirus.
The Department of Health on Wednesday said the number of fatalities in the state from COVID-19 now totals 1,369. That number includes confirmed and probable cases.
The Department of Corrections on Wednesday also reported its second employee death from COVID-19. The employee died Friday at a Hot Springs hospital.
The state’s confirmed cases increased by 607 to 80,610. The number of probable cases increased by 335 to 3,087. The number of people hospitalized remained unchanged at 490.
