Don “Brick Shy” Jones, well-known regional entertainer dies at the age of 82

Loren Donald “Brick Shy” Jones died Oct. 2, 2020, in Mountain
View.

He was 82 years old.

Don was a member of the Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church.

He was also a member of a musical group called the “River Rats” and performed in
theaters in Mountain View, including the White River Hoedown.

He appeared, while in a group called ”The Four Jacks,” on Louisiana Hayride.

During his time in music and traveling the country, he appeared with big-name performers such as Charlie Rich.

For several years “Brick Shy” was a comedic favorite on the White River Hoedown in Mountain View along with Aunt Minnie Miles.

His visitation and funeral service were held Oct. 4 at the Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church.

Burial was in the Mountain View Historical Cemetery.
