Obituary: Drucilla “Dru” Cunningham

Drucilla “Dru” Cunningham, 43, of  Newport departed this life Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, in Jonesboro.

Drucilla was born Nov. 12, 1976, in Newport, AR. Drucilla was the eldest daughter of the late Deborah Sue West. Drucilla graduated from Newport High School in 1995 and attended nursing school at ASUN to get her associate’s degree. Dru was employed as a registered nurse at St. Bernard’s Family Clinic. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Newport, AR. under Reverend Marvin Alcorn.

Dru is survived by her twin daughters, Kayla and Kianna Fite, her twin sisters, Rhonda and Shonda West, and one brother, Maurice West.

She is also survived by three aunts, Dorthy Robinson (mama), Willine Person, and Robyn Watkins (Terrei), two uncles, Freddie Robinson (papa), Derrick Person, three nieces, Paris, Hannah, and Shalaycia, two nephews, Carmello, and Caleb, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Shiloh Cemetery, Diaz, Arkansas.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, from 5:00 ~ 7:00.

Pallbearers will be Tyson Watkins, Gregory Fite, Tyrone Watkins, Chris Ellis, and Jay Crite.
