Search reports human remains found in southwest Jonesboro

crime-scene-tape-2020-4

Human remains were found Saturday in southwest Jonesboro by a group led by EquuSearch Midwest, a branch of Texas Equusearch in Galveston, Tex., that is “…dedicated to finding and reuniting missing family members,” according to its website.

The remains are being sent to the state crime lab for identification.

The director of the Midwest region of Equusearch, Dave Rader, along with the Jonesboro Police Department and the Craighead County Coroner’s Office confirmed that human remains were found.

The search group was looking for the remains of a Jonesboro woman, Lisa Prescott, who has been missing for two years. Apparently new leads surfaced recently, and Prescott’s family along with the Jonesboro Police Department asked Equusearch to come and lead a search for Prescott.
