There is an apparent crime scene being worked in Newark, according to a report from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department and a tweet from Region 8 News.
The Arkansas State Police is handling all aspects of the investigation and is expected to forward a release to local media regarding the situation.
Region 8 News is reporting the scene is on Long Street at the Independence Village Apartments, behind Harp’s.
