Earnesteen (Long) Gilbert, 95, of Batesville passed away Oct. 8, 2020.
She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Velvet Ridge, Arkansas to John Junior and Thelma Carrie (Watson) Long.
Earnesteen enjoyed attending church, singing, bird watching, gardening, and playing bingo with her special friends at Wildewood Independent Living.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol (Dennis) Anderson; four grandchildren, Sarah Mitchum (John David) Morgan, John Gilbert (Laura) Mitchum, Jennifer (Win) Coleman, Ashley (Jonathan) Freiert; and eight great-grandchildren, Hunter Freiert, Pierce Mitchum, Wil Freiert, John Paul Morgan, Carter Freiert, Thomas Morgan, Cooper Coleman, and Caitlin Coleman; two sisters, Vada Duncan of Velvet Ridge, and Fern Biram of Floral; and one nephew, Mark Biram; one niece, Brandi Jefford.
Earnesteen is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Lee Gilbert.
Pallbearers are Hunter, Pierce, Wil, John Paul, Carter, and Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are the residents and staff at Wildewood Independent Living.
Graveside Services will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at Union Grove Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with John David Morgan officiating.
