The Melbourne Bearkatz scored early and often Friday night en route to a dominating road win, taking down Riverview by a score of 42-12.
The run game powered the Katz early, as the offense only needed four plays and just over 90 seconds of game time to get on the scoreboard, and the points kept rolling in, taking a 26-0 lead into halftime.
The defense played well again, forcing four turnovers, including two interceptions that eventually led to touchdowns.
The clock ran the entire fourth quarter, as the Bearkatz forced the sportsmanship rule into effect with a late third-quarter touchdown.
Ryan Worsham had a big night offensively, running the ball for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.
The Katz improve to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play and will return home next Friday night to host the defending state champion Harding Academy Wildcats.
