Alberta Lavada Lugene Cantwell Mingues, 75, of Newport departed this life Monday, October 19, 2020. She was born March 13, 1945, in Newport, Arkansas to Charlie and Ola (Brooks) Cantwell. She was a member of the Baptist church. She enjoyed watching HGTV and walking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers; Charles Cantwell and Roger Cantwell, and three sisters Cealestine Boyd, Margarette Loftin, Mary Alta Prince, and one nephew Phillip Prince.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ivan Mingues of the home; two sons, Brian Mingues of Diaz and Clay Mingues of Colorado; two grandchildren, Coby Ann Mingues of Jonesboro and Brandon Mingues of Diaz; one niece, Wilma Logan of MS; and seven nephews, Gary Loftin of Grubbs, Michael Loftin of Grubbs, Melvin Loftin of Newport, Keith Loftin of Jonesboro, Stacy Prince of MS, Scotty Boyd of Tuckerman, and Ray Boyd of Newport.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
