Arvle Cole Sample, 84, of Batesville passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
He was born on August 8, 1936, in Floral to Bill and Ella Sample.
Cole was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, watching Westerns, short distance travel and listening to music.
Survivors include his three sons, Joey Sample (Kim) of Batesville, Phil Sample of Batesville and Ed McClusky (Yvonne) of Pine Bluff; and two daughters, Patricia Waters (Lloyd) of Bradford and Manda McGough (Pat) of Pleasant Plains; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Maureen of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Johnnie Beth (Lee) Sample; 2nd wife, Viola (Brown) Sample; and grandson, Billy Joe Sample.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Scantlin Cemetery in Bradford under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Craig Wilson officiating.
