Walter Lewis, 92, of Newport departed this life Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020. He was born April 11, 1928, in Newport, Arkansas to Charlie and Zola (Brumley) Lewis.
He was of the Baptist belief. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, dancing, watching westerns, and giving his girls a hard time. His family was his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Lewis, One daughter Janice Lewis, two brothers Charlie and L.Z. Lewis, and two sisters Ora Burrow and Cordiela Slayton.
He is survived by his daughters; Bernice Lewis of Newport, Delana Yancey (Barry) of Newport, grandchildren; Brittiny Watson (Derek) of Bay, Michael Armer (Devin) of Newport, Valarie Roberts (Jacob) of Campbell Station, Great-grandchildren; Allison Watson of Bay and Charlie Ivie of Campbell Station.
