The Melbourne Bearkatz made the long journey south Friday night, picking up a replacement game against Camden-Harmony Grove.
The offenses traded a few blows early, as the Katz defense recovered a fumble immediately after turning the ball over on downs, setting up Ryan Worsham for a six-yard touchdown run.
Worsham, who accounted for all three Bearkatz scores, also made it to the end zone on a 12-yard run and 21-yard reception.
The Katz gave up a touchdown and led 13-8 at halftime.
The third and early fourth quarters were battles of field position and stingy defense, as neither team was able to score.
After their third interception of the half, the Bearkatz were able to score once more and confirm the win by a final of 21-8.
The Katz improve to 6-2, 2-2, and will face Mountain View in the final game of the regular season next week.
