Obituary: Amy Susanne Brewer Fairchild

Amy Susanne (Brewer) Fairchild, 44, of Batesville passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1975, in Little Rock, Arkansas to David J. Brewer and Goldie Juanice Brewer.

Amy was selfless, caring, and a devoted wife and mother; she was always smiling and enjoyed watching her children’s athletic events. She loved going to church, reading, shopping, and going to the beach. Amy graduated from Batesville High School in 1994; she went on to graduate from ASU in 1998. She also received her Master’s Degree in Library Media Science from UCA in 2016 and loved being a teacher.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Calvin Fairchild, and her two children, Ty Fairchild and Josie Fairchild of the home; her parents, David and Juanice Brewer of Batesville; brother, Jeff Brewer (Jane) of Hillsboro, Kansas; maternal grandfather, Johnny Guthrie of Melbourne; father-in-law, A.W. Fairchild of Batesville; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ed and Clara Brewer; maternal grandmother, Bess Guthrie; brother, Brad Brewer; and mother-in-law, Linda Fairchild.

Pallbearers will be Shane Swaim, Wally Guthrie, Keith Davis, Wes Wren, Mike Foster, and Greg Huskey. Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Connell and Deon Stevens.

Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at Campground Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Alex Mills, Matthew Martin, and Richard Nuckolls officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at North Heights Church of Christ.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor visitation attendance, limitations will be posted at the church. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks and social distancing will be observed.
