Evon Rutledge, 85 of Batesville died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020.
He was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Huff, Arkansas to Nick and Myrtle Swaims Rutledge. He was a retired factory worker and of the Baptist faith.
He was a huge lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved playing Keno and Bingo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jackie Rutledge and Jerry Don Rutledge, and two sisters, Doris Rutledge and Mary Lee Dickey.
Survivors include a step-son, Tim Landis of Vacaville, California; one brother, Max Rutledge (Linda) of Batesville; two sisters, Patsy Sharp of Batesville and Shirley Gould (Ervin) of Avinger, Texas; four nephews, Laverne Dickey, Mitch Sharp, Jason Gould, and Jared Gould; four nieces, Anita Toney, Cecilia Wilson, Angie Stevens, and Candi Bennett; three grandchildren, Timmy Landis, Nicholas Landis, and Megan Landis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at the Kyler Cemetery in Southside with Bro. Ervin Gould officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the cemetery.
