Arkansas reports new high for COVID-19 hospitalizations

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas has reached a new high for COVID-19 hospitalizations as the state’s coronavirus cases continue to grow.

The Department of Health on Monday reported the state’s COVID-19 hospitalizations rose by 33 to 688.

The state’s previous high for hospitalizations was 676. The state’s probable and confirmed virus cases increased by 584 to 113,641. Its COVID-19 deaths increased by 27 to 1.985.

Figures compiled by Johns Hopkins University show the state ranks 19th in the country for new cases per capita.
