Dave “Bobby” Ashford, 81 of Cave City died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020. He was born Feb. 12, 1939, in Baton Rouge, La. to Carl Allen and Lizzie Yvonne Collins Ashford. He was a retired instrument technician and a member of Bethel Methodist Church in Greenwell Springs, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Druetta Mack.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sharon Ashford of the home; two sons, Dave Ashford Jr. (Patricia) of Ethel, La. and Kevin LeBeouf (Alesia) of Cave City; one daughter, Tami Hall (Howard) of Cave City; two brothers, E.J. Ashford (Kathy) of Orange, Tex. and Kenneth Ashford (Jeannie) of Greenwell Springs, La.; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Ashford, Maggie Ashford, Brandon West, Bryce West, Laramie Hall, and Deagan LeBeouf; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa Newman, Gavin Newman, Reece West, Owen West, and Gatlin West; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be Kevin LeBeouf, Dave Ashford Jr., Deagan LeBeouf, Brandon West, Bryce West, and Laramie Hall.
Honorary pallbearers are Howard Hall, Stanley Wojcik, and Ashford’s great-grandchildren.
