VFW to honor veterans on Wednesday at Mark House Memorial Boat Ramp


The V.F.W. and Auxiliary of Post 4501, and the American Legion Post 114, both in Batesville, will honor area veterans on Veterans Day on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. near the Mark House Memorial Boat Ramp, south of the White River Bridge in Batesville.

The Post 4501 commander, Curtis Matheny, said lunch will be served at noon at the V.F.W. building on Chaney Drive. Matheny said all veterans and their families are invited.

He said Post 4501 will also be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the post’s charter.
