LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas has reported 945 new coronavirus cases while hospitalizations in the state hit another record high on Monday. And cases in Independence County have jumped high enough for the county to make the state’s top five counties for positive cases: 75 were reported Monday.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson says Arkansas had 786 people hospitalized Monday with the virus, up from Sunday’s record high of 741.

The state also announced 23 more deaths from COVID-19 for a total of 2,108 (confirmed and probable) since the pandemic began.
